Insurance and Bonding Assistant (AI)
How it works
- Tell us what you need or upload your contract's requirements
- We build your coverage list
- Book a 30-minute call with a licensed rep
Why contractors work with us
- Your whole stack in one review. GL, WC, auto, umbrella, inland marine and bonds looked at together so nothing gets missed.
- Built around agency requirements. Public contracts come with specific limits, endorsements and certificate wording. We start from the contract.
- Bonds lined up before bid day. We tell you exactly what underwriting needs and keep it moving.
- Someone on your side. One point of contact who knows public work.
Built for public-sector contractors
We work with contractors bidding and performing work for SCA, DDC, MTA, NYCHA, DEP, DASNY, the Port Authority of NY and NJ, and municipal and federal owners. Each comes with its own limits, endorsements and certificate wording, and we start from those requirements.
Managed Construction is not affiliated with or endorsed by any agency listed.
Frequently asked questions
Is the assistant a real agent?
No. It is an AI assistant that organizes your request. A licensed rep reviews everything before anything is quoted or placed.
Do you guarantee I will get covered or bonded?
No. Every policy and bond is subject to underwriting.
How much will it cost?
It depends on your trade, payroll, revenue, claims history and the limits you need. The rep goes over real numbers once underwriting has your info.
What's the difference between a bid bond and a performance bond?
A bid bond backs your bid: if you win and walk away, the owner is covered. A performance bond backs the job itself: it guarantees the work gets finished if you can't finish it.
What insurance does a NYC contractor usually need?
Most contracts ask for general liability, workers comp, NY disability and paid family leave, commercial auto and an umbrella. Public jobs often add specific endorsements, higher limits and sometimes OCP or railroad protective. Your contract decides the final list.
What documents are needed for bonding?
Usually recent financial statements, a list of jobs in progress, company and owner information, and details on the job you're bidding. The rep tells you exactly what your request needs.
Can I get higher limits?
Often, yes, through an umbrella or excess policy, subject to underwriting.
How long does underwriting take?
It depends on the request and the documents. Simple requests move faster than full underwriting. The rep gives you a realistic timeline on the call.
I'm a newer company. Can I still get bonded?
There are options for newer companies on smaller jobs, subject to underwriting. We map out a path on the call.
What happens to the file I upload?
It is stored privately and only used by our team to review your requirements. {{CONFIRM: retention period}}
What states do you work in?
